The Lion Doll Sewing Pattern

This detailed sewing pattern will take you step by simple step through creating the cutest little lion doll AND the best little accessories any girl or boy could ever want. For you, THE MAKER, it takes all guess work out of the construction so you can spend that time picking your favorite color and print combinations.

Plus, with this one pattern you can make an entire lion (or cat) family… a dapper Leonard Lion, a sophisticated Louise Lion, a loud and proud Leopold Lion, a frilly Lily Lion, and a little baby Leo Jr. Lion.

What do you get?

Materials:
-3-6 cotton fat quarters (1-2 for lions body & 2-4 for accessories) [bundle example]
-matching sewing thread
-20 inches of trim (for the lion mane) [example of gold bullion fringe]
-1-2 colors of embroidery floss [DMC Assorted Colors]
-stuffing [Poly-fil]
-1/8″ or 1/4″ elastic (for accessories)
-any size yarn; less than one ball
-1-2 small snaps or buttons [sew-on snaps]

Tools:
–sewing machine
–sewing & embroidery needle
–erasable fabric marking pen
–scissors & pins
–small embroidery hoop
-any size knitting needles [example – I almost always buy Chiaogoo knitting needles]

Extra Helpful Tools:
-a thin wooden dowel (for stuffing)
–smooth tip tweezers (for stuffing tight spots)
-safety pin or bodkin (guiding elastic)
